Where to Invest? 5 Best-Performing Crypto Assets to Buy in Jan 2025

The start of 2025 has brought significant activity to the crypto market, driven by institutional adoption, new blockchain projects, and major network upgrades. Among the solid investment choices are Solana, Avalanche, Stellar, NEAR Protocol, Ripple, Litecoin, Filecoin, Cosmos, Polygon, and Algorand. SEC Acknowledges Canary Capital’s Litecoin ETF Application

The SEC has acknowledged Canary Capital's 19b-4 filing for a Litecoin ETF, marking a significant step forward for the altcoin. This acknowledgment is seen as a positive signal, especially since the SEC has not addressed most other altcoin ETF applications. ETF analysts Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart had previously suggested that a Litecoin ETF was more likely to gain approval compared to Solana or XRP. The acknowledgment of the filing, along with comments from the SEC on the S-1, indicates that this application is the furthest along in the process. The next question is whether the SEC will proceed with the approval or delay the decision.

Litecoin ETF Approved after FOMC Meeting

Several fund managers have recently filed applications for altcoin ETFs with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), including $DOGE, $TRUMP, and $MELANIA ETFs. However, the only application to get a green light was Canary Capital’s Litecoin ETF ($LTC ETF). Unsurprisingly, the regulator has rejected all other proposed ETFs, which makes $LTC the only altcoin after $ETH to get approval. $LTC has a reputation of ‘digital silver’ that compliments the ‘digital gold,’ Bitcoin ($BTC). It’s a Bitcoin fork, after all, so they share many similarities in tokenomics and technology. This news is bullish for the entire industry, as Canary Capital sets a precedent for altcoin recognition as a serious asset class by institutional investors.

What Crypto to Buy in a Bullish January?

Now is the perfect time to stack cryptocurrencies, especially with the approval of the Litecoin ETF. This development signals a growing acceptance of altcoins by institutional investors, which could lead to increased market activity and price appreciation for selected cryptocurrencies.
